Review: Innisfree The Green Tea Seed Serum

Hi gorgeous,

You know what? The famous eco-friendly brand that we love from Korea: Innisfree is coming to Indonesia very soon!

And I got some of their best selling products from Innisfree IndonesiaClozette Indonesia (Thank you sooo much Innisfree Indonesia & Clozette Indonesia):
If you read my previous posts, I am now still struggling to get a healthy skin without having to regularly visit my dermatologist. I'm nearly get there, though.. just still having problem with oily face, which could be dry as well (my make up went patchy sometimes *sigh*), I guess my skin is not hydrated enough yet.
So I was utterly happy to get the legendary, Innisfree best-selling Green Tea Seed Serum f, which is actually a booster serum to be applied the at first step in skin care routine (after cleansing and before toner) to hydrate and boost the effectiveness of another skincare products.
Official Description:
The green tea seed serum 80ml

What it is

A moisturizing serum with organic Jeju green tea and green tea seeds that hydrate your skin from deep within!

1. More moisture and freshness with 100% green tea.

Rich in amino acids and minerals, green tea from Jeju's own green tea leaves hydrates your skin.

2. Dual Moisture-Rising Technology™ derived from green tea and green tea seed oil

The fresh green tea deeply hydrates your skin and the green tea seed oil creates a strong moisture barrier to keep your skin moisturized longer.

3. The first thing to apply after a face wash!

As the first skincare product you use, it helps hold moisture in your skin and prevents moisture loss.

Packaging: The serum comes in a semi-transparent green sturdy plastic bottle with brown pump, it also has plastic cap. I love the packaging so much because I can see how much product is still there, the pump makes it more time-efficient to apply and also more hygiene since we don't have to open the bottle (like we do with dropper cap), and very much travel friendly since we don't have to be afraid the bottle will shatter (like we do with the bottle made of glass), and it's small (yet lasts a long time) enough, 80 ml. The box is also dominated with green color, made of recycle-able & degradable material, plus soy ink for the printings which are eco-friendly. The box also got English description and lucky for us Indonesian, it is completed with Indonesian description as well -attached on the backside of the box.
I wish they also had English description on the bottle, though
Expired date is described on the bottom of its bottle

Scent: The scent is quite strong, between green tea or citrus I guess? Not so bothering for me because the scent  is refreshing and will fade once the serum is absorbed

Texture: Innisfree Green Tea Seed Serum has almost-transparent white color, the consistency is watery, quite runny, lightweight and absorbed fast into the skin without leaving stickiness whatsoever!

Performance: I honestly a bit worried before because I got sensitive and acne-prone skin, and I saw fragrance on their ingredients list, I also got 1 small bump which was starting to get red before I tried this serum. But I braced my self and applied it anyway,
1st application: I applied it at night, it prickled me a little and when I looked the part that pricked, apparently it was the mr. bump that just appeared. I liked it that the serum absorbed really fast so there was no long waiting time for the next step. My skin instantly felt soft.
The next morning.. I was surprised that my face wasn't as shiny as usual but I could still feel my skin is soft and hydrated, then I didn't see more bumps nor redness which mean it didn't caused breakouts or irritation, so I continue using it, and at night I was surprised again that my pimple has calmed down! OMG that was super fast!!!
On the 3rd day, I didn't wash my face the whole day because I was busy taking care of my baby and before I took shower and wash my face in the evening, I realized that my face is still not shiny! Oh my.. the last time I applied the serum is the night before, and my face still looks this fresh?! Aw mah zing!!! Usually, even if I wash my face between 12 - 2 pm, in the evening my face will shine already.
I am using this serum AM & PM, after face cleansing and before my usual skin care regime, 1 pump is enough for my entire face and 1/2 for my neck. Because it is a booster serum, I still use another serum afterwards to get the effect that Innisfree Green Tea Seed Serum doesn't provide, such as brightening and anti-aging (CMIIW).

Below is the result in just 7 days, some of my bumps have gone (the scars look more visible on after pic because of the lighting):

Pro(s):
+ Moisturizing & hydrating
+ Very good sebum control
+ Doesn't cause breakouts or irritation
+ Makes acne dry faster
+ Absorbs quickly
+ Smells fresh
+ Affordable (considering a little goes a long way)
+ (soon) easy to find

+ Made of eco-friendly & natural ingredients
+ Non-greasy
+ Travel friendly packaging

Con(s):
- Contains alcohol & fragrance (but it doesn't irritate me, so it's acceptable imo)

Price: IDR 340.000

Where to buy: the gewd news is, this Korean eco-friendly brand: Innisfree will open its 1st official store on this coming March 24, 2017 at Central Park Mall (LG Floor) Jakarta, followed by their 2nd store at Senayan City Jakarta within 2 weeks after the 1st store. The more exciting thing is, there will be FREE GIFTS given to all guests who attend their first opening day, without even having to make any purchase! Yas yas, do mark your calendar, gorgeous!

Verdict: Innisfree Green Tea Seed Serum is a really must have; it's perfect for oily, acne-prone, sensitive or even dried and dehydrated skin! It really does the job as it claimed; moisturizing, hydrating, non-irritating and very good at controlling sebum. The serum also made of natural & eco-friendly ingredients. And 80 ml is quite huge imo, because 1.5 pump is enough for face and neck, pretty sure it will last a long time.

Repurchase: Surely will!

I will also review the sheet masks, so stay tune!!!
Thanks for reading my post, see you at the first Innisfree Indonesia Official Store grand opening day!

Love,
